King meets Moroccan premier, parliament leaders

His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday received at his residence in Rabat Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane, President of the House of Councillors Hakim Benchamach and President of the House of Representatives Habib El Malki.

Talks covered the deep-seated ties between the two kingdoms and means to consolidate them in various domains.

King Abdullah reiterated the importance of holding the meetings of the joint Jordanian-Moroccan Higher Committee in Jordan later this year. The meetings, His Majesty said, would boost economic cooperation and trade exchange.

Talks also touched on means to bolster parliamentary cooperation.

Benkirane expressed his country's keenness to cement relations in various domains.

For his part, Malki lauded Jordan’s role in serving Arab and Muslim causes, also commending its advanced reform efforts, while Benchamach called for enhancing parliamentary cooperation.
