His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, on Saturday received President for Brand Expedia Group Aman Bhutani, who took part in the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa at the Dead Sea.

Discussions at the meeting tackled young Jordanians’ proficiency in information and communications technology, and Jordan’s attractive investment climate, making it a regional ICT hub. 

The sector contributes 12 per cent of the total gross domestic product. 

Bhutani expressed his admiration of the Kingdom's advanced ICT sector, due to its qualified human resources and infrastructure, noting that this has encouraged Expedia—one of the largest online travel companies in the world—to open an office for software development in Jordan. 

Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan attended the meeting.
