His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday received a letter from the president of the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions, Mazen Maaytah, on the occasion of Labour Day, which was marked Monday.

In the letter, Maaytah said labourers in Jordan reaffirm their dedication to the service of their homeland.

All workers, he added, put the country’s interest first and foremost, utilising creativity and innovation to meet the demands of the present and the future.

Maaytah also highlighted the role of the federation in bolstering economic and social stability to achieve further economic growth.
