The King Meets China`s Foreign Trade Minister

His Majesty King Abdullah II Thursday held talks with visiting China`s Foreign Trade Minister Chi Ching on bilateral economic cooperation.

The King voiced Jordan`s unequivocal keenness to further bolster trade links and to increase Jordan-China trade volume , saying "I look forward to meeting Chinese President Jiang Zeimin in the near future".

He noted to the Kingdom`s tremendous investment opportunities and attractive privileges available to lure foreign investments and commended China`s current investments at the country`s qualified industrial zones QIZ , that export their manufactured goods to the US huge market tariff-free.

During the meeting , attended by Royal Court Chief and ministers of planning and trade , the King congratulated China on the occasion of its accession to the World Trade Organization WTO , which will pave the way to new horizons of cooperation under the umbrella of this international body.

Ching for his part affirmed his country`s unwavering resolve to further strengthen trade links with Jordan and lauded the Kingdom`s relentless and tireless efforts exerted to invigorate national economy and to achieve sustainable development in all fields of investment , particularly in the mining sector.
