His Majesty King Abdullah Leaves for China & Singapore

His Majesty King Abdullah II, Tuesday left for Beijing on a visit to China upon an invitation by Chinese President Ziang Zemen.

The King, who arrives in Peking, Thursday , will hold talks with President Zemen on ways to bolster political and economic relations between Jordan and China . The talks will also cover regional and international developments .

During his several-day visit, King Abdullah will also meet leading Chinese investors and heads of prominent firms in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong for talks on trade and IT investment cooperation.

King Abdullah, who is accompanied by Royal Court Chief, Planning Minister and President of Aqaba Special Economic Zone, will attend the signing ceremony of the Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement between Jordan and China.

Before arriving China, the King will make a stopover in Singapore for talks with Singaporean President and senior officials on bilateral relations.

HRH Prince Faisal was sworn in as Regent during the King`s absence .
