Statement on His Majesty King Abdullah II`s visit to China

Upon an invitation from Chinese President Ziang Zemen , His Majesty King Abdullah II is due, January 17th, to have a several day visit to China during which he is expected to hold talks with President Zemen and Chinese officials on means of boosting bilateral relations and expanding prospects of joint cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of investment and trade exchange, in addition to the latest developments on the international and regional arenas.

His Majesty is expected to meet several Chinese businessmen and economic activists in Peking, Shanghai and Hong Kong to discuss fields of world trade, information technology and electronic government promotion.

King Abdullah II and President Zemen are due to attend the signature ceremonies the economic and technical cooperation agreement between Jordan and China.

Prior to his arrival to the Chinese capital Peking, His Majesty will , Wednesday, visit Singapore , where he is expected to meet with the Prime Minister and representatives of firms there.
