His Majesty King Abdullah II discussed with Chinese officials of Suzo indusgtrial zone, Shanghai, the future of Aqaba Special Economic Zone.

In a bid to benefit from the Chinese experience in the field of foreign investment attraction, His Majesty was keen to be acquainted with the actual outcome of joint Chinese and Singapore investment, represented in the establishment of this industrial zone, which has become, within eight years time, an integrate complex containing various economic activities as well as giant firms whose investment value exceeded, last year, one billion dollars.

During the visit, His Majesty was briefed by Suzo supervisors on the Chinese Experience of open doors economy and foreign investment attraction.

His Majesty expressed appreciation on the success Suzo zone achieved. He extended invitation to the officials to visit Jordan to benefit from their experience and help investors being acquainted with the investment ambience in Jordan.
