King Departs for Cairo

His Majesty King Abdullah II has left Amman for Cairo on the first leg of a three-country tour that will also take him to Morocco and Britain.

During his visit to Egypt, His Majesty will be meeting with Egyptian President Husni Mubarak. The King will also meet with the Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz in Morocco and the British Prime Minister Tony Blair in London.

The King`s talks are expected to deal with the situation in the Palestinian lands, efforts being exerted to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands as well as lifting the blockade imposed on the headquarter of the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.

The King is accompanied on this visit by Chief of the Royal Court Dr. Fayez Tarawneh. His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent during His Majesty`s absence abroad.
