King Visits Army Headquarter, PSD, CDD

His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces visited on Sunday the General Headquarter of the Armed Force where he met with chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and discussed with him a number of issues of concern to the armed forces.

The King also visited the Public Security Department (PSD) where he affirmed the importance of facilitating measures and services provided to citizens. He also called for conducting studies relating to the development of work mechanism of the PSD in the various fields. The King affirmed in his meeting with PSD director Tahseen Shordum his confidence in members of the PSD. He praised their efforts in providing security and stability, maintaining order and protecting properties and citizens. King Abdullah also visited the Civil Defence Department where he stressed the importance of continuing development and modernization efforts in a way that conforms with its vital role in protecting citizens.

His Majesty was briefed by the department's director on duties and tasks carried out by the Civil Defence department as well as its future plans to expand services in the various parts of the Kingdom.
