King holds talks with Sheikh Zayed

His Majesty King Abdullah II and Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday discussed means to further boost Jordanian UAE relations and enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the various fields.

King Abdullah and Sheikh Zayed discussed also the situation in the Palestinian territories and the suffering Palestinians are exposed to due to the continued Israeli practices. They urged the International community to exert efforts to end the occupation and pave the way for releasing the negotiation process. The talks focused also on the latest developments on the Iraqi issue.

His Majesty discussed also with Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed ,Heir Apparent of Abu Dhabi, bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

Earlier on Monday, His Majesty opened the Investment Forum in Jordan where a number of UAE and foreign businessmen participated.

Is his remarks to the forum, His Majesty stressed Jordan's determination to go ahead in the economic and administrative reform process.

His Majesty reviewed the accomplishments the Jordanian economy achieved. He pointed out that economic growth in the kingdom exceeded, last year,5 percent, while exports achieved tangible progress that went beyond 15 per cent for the same year , and the Central Bank reserves reached $ 3.5 billion.
