King and Queen Condole Families of Jordanian Martyrs

His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania offered their condolences to the families of the students and the Jordanian driver who were killed in Iraq last week following a missile blast near the city of Mosul.

During a meeting with the families of the victims at the Royal Hashemite Court that was attend by the Minister of the Royal Hashemite Court and Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, Their Majesties expressed their sincere condolences and sympathies and stressed their support to the families in this ordeal.

His Majesty pointed out to the position of Jordan that has rejected the war on Iraq and to his concern about the innocent civilians who are falling as victims of this war. His Majesty said that Jordan has done its utmost with the international community in order to avert this war and spare the Iraqi people its ramifications, which we are now seeing.

The families of the victims expressed their gratitude and appreciation to their Majesties for this Royal gesture which has offered them solace and comfort.
