His Majesty King Abdullah II instructed the Government to accept all 3078 Jordanian students returning from Iraqi universities at Jordanian Universities in response to the appeal that was sent to His Majesty by the students and their families.

In a Royal Endowment, His Majesty has personally assumed the expenses of the education of 598 students from these students who had been granted scholarships in Iraqi Universities by the Ministry of Higher Education.

The Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Mohammed Hamdan announced that in response to the Royal Endowment, all returning students would be accepted, without any exception, at Jordanian Universities as part of special educational programs from the second semester of the current educational year 2002-2003.
