His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Wednesday Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister Sayyed Mohammad Sadir who conveyed to His Majesty a message from Iranian President Mohammad Khatami.

The message dealt with ways of promoting relations between Jordan and Iran in the various fields.

President Khatami affirmed in his message, his keenness to strengthen Jordanian-Iranian ties, indicating that conditions the region is currently passing through underline the need for cooperation with a view to achieve security and stability for all peoples of the region.

King Abdullah reiterated during the meeting which attended by Hashemite Royal Court Minister Faisal Al Fayez and the Iranian ambassador in Amman, the importance for all countries of the region to support the Iraqi people in their quest to build their future and preserve the unity of their territories.
