Royal Decree

A Royal Decree was issued on Tuesday appointing Salem Turk as Chief of Royal Court, effective Nov. 16, 2005. Mr. Turk replaces former Prime Minister Faisal Fayez who resigned.
A second Royal Decree designated a new head of National Security. Marouf Bakhit, also acting director of His Majesty King Abdullah's Private Office, replaces Field Marshal Saad Kheir, who resigned his posts as head of National Security and adviser to the King on security affairs.
Another decree, also issued on Tuesday, accepted the resignations of the following advisors to the King: Yousef Dalabih, Aqel Biltaji, Sima Bahous, Hani Mulki, Tahsin Shurdum, Mohammad Malkawi, Izzeddine Khatib Tamimi, who resigned from his posts as adviser on Islamic affairs and Chief Justice, and Ahmad Hilayel, who retained his post as imam of the Royal Hashemite Family.
A Royal Decree named Mohammad Fakhri Abu Taleb keeper of the Privy Purse as of Nov. 16, 2005, replacing Mohammad Munir Durra who resigned.
