King meets chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council, Algeria parliament leader

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday met with Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya and Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord Fayez Sarraj, and discussed the latest developments in the North African country.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the 28th Arab Summit, touched on efforts to rebuild Libya's institutions and establish security and stability in a manner that preserves its unity and territorial integrity.

King Abdullah and Sarraj called for activating joint Arab action to serve the best interests of the nation and its peoples.

Also on the sidelines of the Summit, His Majesty met with head of Algeria's delegation to the Summit, Speaker of the Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah.

Talks covered Jordanian-Algerian ties and means to build on them, in addition to ways to enhance joint Arab action and coordinate efforts to reach political solutions.
