King announces conclusion of 28th Arab Summit

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday thanked Arab leaders and heads of delegations for their “active participation and commitment to ensuring its success, especially amidst the challenges facing our Arab nation” at the conclusion of the 28th Arab Summit.

King Abdullah also thanked Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and the staff and General Secretariat for “their ongoing efforts to maintain the active role of the League and its institutions”.

“Throughout this Summit, we held transparent discussions over all key issues, arriving at several important resolutions and recommendations, which Jordan, during its presidency, will work with you to implement on the ground,” His Majesty said in his closing remarks.

The King also reaffirmed the need to advance and institutionalise joint Arab action to overcome challenges and “serve the causes of our nation”.

“Finally, I thank you again for participating in the Amman Summit, and I ask God to guide us to the best interest of our Arab nation,” His Majesty concluded.
