A Royal Decree was issued on Monday approving a Cabinet decision to appoint Maj. Gen. Mustafa Abed Rabbo Ibrahim Bazaiah as director of the Civil Defence Directorate, as of 17 April 2017.

A second Royal Decree was issued approving a Council of Ministers’ decision to promote former civil defence director Lt. Gen. Talal Kofahi to the rank of general.

The Cabinet had earlier in the day decided to refer Kofahi to retirement as of Monday.
