King receives Malaysian foreign minister

His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday received Malaysian Foreign Minister Anifah Aman and discussed bilateral relations, especially in the economic and tourism fields.

During the meeting, attended by Prime Minister Hani Mulki, King Abdullah stressed the importance of promoting cooperation, praising Jordan and Malaysia as models of coexistence, tolerance, and interfaith harmony.

Discussions also covered the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to combat terrorism within a holistic strategy, as it threatens the security and stability of the region and the world.

The Malaysian foreign minister expressed his country's appreciation of His Majesty's efforts to achieve peace and enhance security and stability in the region.

He said Malaysia looks forward to expanding its partnership with the Kingdom in various fields.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and Malaysia’s ambassador to Jordan also attended the meeting.
