His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday received Speaker of Libya’s House of Representatives Ageela Saleh at Basman Palace.

Discussions at the meeting covered the latest developments in Libya and efforts to fight terrorism.

King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan’s support for efforts to unify Libyan ranks and reach a political solution that restores security and stability for the people of Libya, and paves the way for building institutions there.

For his part, Saleh, who is currently visiting the Kingdom, expressed appreciation for Jordan’s role, led by His Majesty, in supporting the aspirations of the Libyan people for security and stability.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Atef Tarawneh, Royal Hashemite Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and members of the accompanying Libyan delegation attended the meeting.
