His Majesty King Abdullah, in a cable on Sunday to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, condemned the targeting of Riyadh with a ballistic missile fired by Houthi militias in Yemeni territory.

In the cable, King Abdullah affirmed that Jordan stands in solidarity with Saudi Arabia as it safeguards its own security and stability, and counters such cowardly attacks that target the safety and security of its people.

Saudi air defence forces were able to intercept the missile, fired Saturday, and no injuries were reported.
