King to participate in trilateral summit with Cypriot president, Greek PM

His Majesty King Abdullah is scheduled on Tuesday to participate in a trilateral summit in Nicosia with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

The summit will cover prospects for cooperation among the three countries, as well as current developments in the Middle East.

It will also be marked by the signing of a number of agreements, in addition to bilateral and trilateral memorandums of understanding, in vital sectors such as renewable energy, economy, healthcare, agriculture, higher education, and culture.

The summit, the first to include Jordan, will be a cornerstone for cementing strategic cooperation among the Kingdom, Cyprus, and Greece at various levels, with the aim of bolstering joint action and serving the interests of their peoples.

The delegation accompanying King Abdullah includes Prime Minister Hani Mulki, Royal Hashemite Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Planning Minister Imad Fakhoury, and Energy Minister Saleh Kharabsheh.
