His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received cables marking the 19th anniversary of the assumption of his constitutional powers, which falls on Wednesday, 07 February.

The cables’ senders—senior officials, army officers, heads of security agencies, and representatives of civil society organisations—praised King Abdullah’s leadership and his efforts to ensure Jordan’s continued prosperity and progress, continuing in the footsteps of the late King Hussein.

They also underlined Jordan’s key role, led by His Majesty, in defending Arab and Islamic causes at various international forums, commending the King’s efforts in fighting terrorism and highlighting Islam’s true image.
