King meets delegation from British Royal College of Defence Studies

His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday met with a delegation from the British Royal College of Defence Studies, comprising officers from various countries, at Al Husseiniya Palace.

Discussions at the meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, covered the peace process, with King Abdullah stressing the need to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the basis of a two-state solution, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

His Majesty highlighted the importance of preserving the status quo in Jerusalem, noting that the city is the key to achieving peace in the region, and reaffirming Jordan’s commitment to its historic and religious role in safeguarding Islamic and Christian holy sites in the city.

Regional crises and international and regional efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic approach were discussed as well.

Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas attended the meeting.
