A Royal Decree has been issued approving the resignation of Walid Maani from his position as minister of education and minister of higher education and scientific research as of 27 October 2019.

Another Royal Decree was issued, approving the assigning of Minister of State for Legal Affairs Mubarak Abu Yamin to administer the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as of 27 October 2019.
