King urges government to organise return of Jordanian students, safeguard public health

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday reaffirmed the need for cooperation and coordination among all stakeholders to organise the return of Jordanian students to the Kingdom, ensuring a smooth and orderly process.
 
Chairing a National Policies Council (NPC) meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, His Majesty stressed the importance of taking the necessary measures to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the students when moving them.
 
During the meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, adviser to His Majesty and NPC chairperson, King Abdullah emphasised the importance of closing off the precautionary quarantine areas that will house the returning students.
 
His Majesty underscored the need to avoid hasty decisions that could lead to setbacks in efforts to counter coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
 
The King was also briefed on measures taken to address the impact of COVID-19.
