King Abdullah on Thursday received a phone call from Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and discussed the deep-rooted ties between the two countries, and current regional developments.

The two leaders stressed the importance of continued coordination on issues of mutual concern, as well as on regional developments, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, and reaching political solutions to regional crises.

During the call, the two leaders stressed their utter rejection of any unilateral Israeli measure to annex lands in the West Bank, as it would undermine the prospects of achieving peace and stability in the Middle East.

The Bahraini monarch said Bahrain stands with the Arab consensus against this illegitimate step.

King Hamad reaffirmed Bahrain’s full support for Jordan’s steadfast positions.

The Bahraini monarch also commended Jordan’s role in supporting just Arab causes, especially the Palestinian cause, and its efforts to support joint Arab action.
