Translated from Arabic

In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Compassionate,

Your Excellency Dr. Bassem Awadallah,

May God protect you,

I send you my best greetings and sincere wishes for good health and success.

I have known you for years, a young man devoted to work and a believer in the need for change and modernisation in compliance with the spirit of the age.

Over the years, I have commissioned you to several important senior posts and you met expectations: a model of dedicated, meticulous work; high efficiency; ability to achieve; and excellence in performance and service.

While I express to you my appreciation and pride for all that you have achieved for your country in every position you held and in all the assignments you were commissioned to undertake, I would like to assert that this distinguished service is also appreciated and respected by all those with a sense of fairness, who either worked with you or knew of your dedication to your work and the service of your country.

Today, as you leave your post as chief of our Royal Hashemite Court, to rest or to assume another post, I assure you that you will always be trusted, respected and appreciated by us, and will remain close to us, as you have always been.

May God bless you and reward you well for all that you have given to your country.

I pray to God Almighty to protect and guard you, and to grant you good health and success.

Peace, God's mercy and His blessings upon you,

Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein
