Translated from Arabic

In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Compassionate,

Your Excellency Prime Minister Nadir Dahabi,

Peace, God's mercy and blessings be upon you,

I send you and your colleagues the ministers greetings and my best wishes.

Now that a decree has been issued to conduct parliamentary elections, following the dissolution of Parliament, we hereby direct the government immediately to prepare for these elections. These elections should be a model of transparency, fairness and integrity, and a promising step in our process of reform and modernisation, the aims of which are to achieve the best for our nation and to expand the horizon of progress and prosperity for Jordanians.

In order to achieve this objective, we hereby give you the responsibility of taking the necessary steps, foremost of which is amending the elections law and developing the electoral process in such a manner that the next legislative elections will be qualitatively improved and all Jordanians will practice their right to campaign and to elect their representatives in Parliament which has a constitutional role that we emphasise as a pillar of our democratic process and a factor contributing to our comprehensive development whose impact will be reflected on people's lives.

As we await the measures to achieve this objective, we ask the Almighty God to grant us success in our efforts to build a prosperous future that achieves our people's hopes and aspirations.

Peace, God's mercy and blessings be upon you.
