Amman

His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday said the terror attacks targeted the security and stability of Jordan and revealed hatred by terrorists against the Kingdom and its achievements.

Chairing a meeting of the National Security Council, King Abdullah said he was confident that security services are capable of arresting the terrorists and bring them to justice.

The King added that terrorism is a world phenomenon, which requires all to join ranks in the fight against terrorists.

This fight, His Majesty said, should extend to all those who justify terrorist acts or support destructive ideas.

Upon returning from Kazakhstan dawn on Thursday, the King immediately visited the sites of the bombings at the Radisson SAS and the Grand Hyatt hotels.

He also visited the Public Security Department, where he commended the efforts of the police and members of the Civil Defence Department and General Intelligence Department.

The King was briefed on measures taken to beef up security.

Also on Thursday, the King vowed in a televised address to the nation that Jordan will pursue these terrorists and those who aid them.
