King Abdullah II Due to Visit US Early May

His Majesty King Abdullah II is due to have a several day working visit to US early May, where he is going to hold talks with American President George W. Bush on the developments in the Palestinian territories and the efforts currently exerted to end the Israeli occupation and find a solution for the Arab Israeli conflict.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marwan Muasher, also said that the King`s talks with President Bush, the American administration officials and the Congress leaderships will focus on the steps to be taken . He pointed out that His Majesty is expected to stress the necessity to move to the final status negotiations within specific timetable and a clear working plan, to be based on the terms of reference on which the peace process was conducted as well as the Arab peace initiative.

Dr. Muasher also pointed out that His Majesty is going to deliver two important speeches in Baker Institute of Huston, and Brookings of Washington, where he will present the Jordanian view pertaining the required steps to ensure ending the Israeli occupation in all of the Arab lands.

His Majesty is also due to meet, in Washington, with members of Arab organizations in USA.
