His Majesty King Abdullah II Wednesday expressed his appreciation of the Public Security Department`s performance and role in keeping the country`s security and the citizens` interests.

During a visit to PSD headquarters, His Majesty gave instructions to apply the laws and regulations to all in order to achieve justice and equality without any discrimination.

Improving means of interaction between the official and the citizen and the PSD regulars, will require each of them to shoulder their own responsibilities, His Majesty affirmed; stressing that all citizens in the Kingdom are equal in their rights and duties.

His Majesty reiterated that attempts by some people to transcend laws to serve their personal interests should be rooted out by civilized, fair and transparent, approach to be applied to all. He urged PSD officials not to respond to any attempts or calls for transcending the law no matter who might be behind it.

His Majesty expressed pride of PSD regulars` efforts in following up and unfolding several crimes and aborting drug smuggling operations.
