King Abdullah II phones Arab leaders

During a series of contacts and consultations with several Arab leaders today, His Majesty King Abdullah II stressed the need to exert more efforts and explore all possibilities to stop this war as soon as possible.

His Majesty made phone calls with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, His Excellency Mohammed Husni Mubarak, President of Egypt, and His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. The discussions focused on the need to work to stop this war as soon as possible.

In these phone calls, His Majesty cautioned from the impact of this tragic war on the Iraqi people and its enormous humanitarian ramifications on innocent civilians.

His Majesty made it clear that Jordan is fully prepared to be the gateway for humanitarian aid to Iraq. His Majesty stressed that Jordan will continue its endeavors with Arab and foreign countries and international organizations in order to facilitate the mission of any food and medical aid going to Iraq.
