King Abdullah II receives American senators

His Majesty King Abdullah II Thursday discussed with American senators James Anhoff and Samuel Brownbatch the current move to resume the peace process through the initiatives the American administration is considering to prepare proper ambience for their accomplishment.

His Majesty expressed appreciation on the American administration's intensive efforts to stop the circle of violence and encourage the concerned parties to return to negotiations anew. He stressed that the return of the American and European envoys to the region is an important step to restore the peace process's momentum.

His Majesty stressed that Arabs are committed to achieve a just, comprehensive and durable peace in the region that would secure rights of all parties. He affirmed that the Arab peace initiative is a key base to achieve the required peace.
