King Abdullah II receives president and members of the Senate

His Majesty King Abdullah Wednesday said that both the Upper and Lower House of parliament will convene next year following the parliamentary elections. During his meeting with President and members of the Senate, His Majesty stressed the important role of the Senate in cooperation with the government in the coming stage to further enhance economic, social and political development, as well as, Jordan`s democratic march.

There are great efforts before us to be exerted to improve Jordan`s accomplishments, particularly as we will have parliamentary elections next year, the King said. His Majesty congratulated the President and members of the Senate and expressed his confidence in their role.

In his remarks, President of the Senate Zeid Rifai expressed appreciation on His Majesty King Abdullah II`s directives and pioneer stands for the interest of the homeland and the Arab nation. He expressed also appreciation on the King`s keenness to improve the living of the Jordanian citizens. He pointed out to the King`s directives to the government to set a comprehensive economic and social plan to improve the living of the Jordanian citizens in all fields. march.
