King Abdullah Starts Two-day Visit to UAE

His Majesty King Abdullah II arrived on Sunday in Dubai on a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates where he will receive on Monday the award of pioneering in E-business presented by I.T.B foundation for the dissemination of IT knowledge in recognition of His Majesty's role in inspiring and enhancing the exchange of ideas related to telecommunications and information technology in the Arab countries.
Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashed AL Maktum will present the award to King Abdullah during a grand ceremony attended by senior officials and people interested in IT sector.
The King arrived in Dubai from Oman where he met with Sultan Qaboos of Oman.
On Sunday, King Abdullah, accompanied by Bin Rashed, visited 2003 JETEX exhibition on computer market, which opened in Dubai on Saturday.
After touring various sections of the exhibition which displays state-of-the-art computer technologies, King Abdullah commended success stories accomplished by Dubai in computer sciences and technologies.
The King also visited Jordan's pavilion in the exhibition where seven Jordanian IT firms are taking part together with the Jordan Investment Board.
