His Majesty King Abdullah II arrived Monday in Damascus for a short visit to Syria.

His Majesty was received by Syrian President Bashar Al Assad, Vice President Abdel Halim Khaddam, Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa Miro, Foreign Minister Farooq Al Shara` and senior Syrian officials.

The King is accompanied by Prime Minister Ali Abul Ragheb, Royal Court Chief Dr. Fayez Al Tarawneh and Foreign Minister DR. Marwan Al Muasher.

The two leaders held talks on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and Arab efforts aimed at making the upcoming Arab summit in Beirut succeed.
