His Majesty King Abdullah and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Monday received cables on the anniversary of the late King Hussein's birthday, which falls on Tuesday, 14 November.

King Abdullah received cables from senior officials, heads of security agencies, and representatives of civil society organisations.

Crown Prince Al Hussein received similar cables on the occasion from senior officials and officers.

In the cables, the senders paid tribute to the late King Hussein's efforts to modernise Jordan and his honourable stances on national and pan-Arab issues, stressing that the Kingdom, led by His Majesty King Abdullah, is steadily moving forward in its modernisation process and will remain an oasis of security and stability, as well as a model of tolerance and justice.
