King Follows Up on Efforts and Procedures to Deal with Weather Conditions

His Majesty King Abdullah II followed up for the second consecutive day on efforts and procedures taken by the interior ministry and the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces to deal with the current prevailing weather conditions.

The King instructed the concerned officials to speed up the process of opening all roads in the various governorates which where closed due to the fall of snow.

His Majesty also toured a number of areas in the capital to look into procedures taken by the concerned authorities to help citizens in dealing with the weather conditions, enable them to reach their work places and provide them with their needs.

The King's tour included the interior ministry where he chaired a meeting for the operations room and was briefed by interior minister Qaftan Majali on preparations that have been taken by the ministry to face the prevailing weather conditions.

King Abdullah stressed the importance of taking all the necessary measures to deal with the possibility of the formation of floods and provide services to citizens.

His Majesty also visited the General Headquarter of the Armed Forces where he was briefed by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Khaled Jamil Sarayreh on steps that have been taken by the armed forces to deal with the weather conditions.

The King thanked the armed forces for the efforts that they exerted with other concerned departments to provide services to citizens.

He also issued his directives on a number of issues of concern to the armed forces.
