King leaves for Russia

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday left on a several-day visit for Russia where he will hold talks with President Vladimir Putin on regional and international developments and means to enhance bilateral ties.



During their meeting at the Black Sea resort of Sochi, both leaders will discuss the Israel's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the situation in Iraq and the war on terror.



His Majesty the King will also meet with Russian officials to discuss economic and tourist cooperation and ways to encourage Jordanian and Russian businessmen to establish joint projects.



King Abdullah will meet with Russian media leaders and talk about Islam as a moderate religion that denounces violence and terrorism.



In Zhukovsky, near the Russian capital, His Majesty the King will visit the MAKS 2005 International Aviation and Space Salon.
