King meets Polish, British PMs, and US treasury secretary

His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, met with Polish President Andrzej Duda, in Davos, and discussed means to bolster Jordanian-Polish cooperation in a number of areas, particularly in economic and military fields.

Discussions also covered the developments related to the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem.

King Abdullah called for overcoming the deadlock in the peace process to reach just and comprehensive peace that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The meeting also addressed regional and international developments, as well as crises in the Middle East, and efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic approach.

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan attended the meeting.

Also on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, His Majesty met with British Prime Minister Theresa May.

At a meeting with US Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin, attended by Crown Prince Al Hussein, discussions covered means for the United States to support Jordan’s economy.

The meeting also addressed the economic reforms undertaken by Jordan to ensure growth and enhance the Kingdom’s resilience in the face of challenges arising due to regional crises.

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and Planning Minister Imad Fakhoury attended the two meetings.
