King Meets UAE President

His Majesty King Abdullah II on Thursday held talks with the United Arab Emirates UAE Sheikh Zayed Ben Sultan al-Nahyan on the region's latest developments and Jordan-UAE relations.

Talks, during the meeting attended by Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarwneh, tackled Arab, regional and international diplomacy exerted to end Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories in addition to blueprints aiming to set up a viable Palestinian state within the coming three years.

The Monarch updated Sheikh Zayed on Jordan's relentless and tireless efforts with the international community to alleviate the plight of the Palestinian people, triggered by Israeli flagrant aggression and malpractices.

The King , who earlier arrived in London , noted to talks scheduled with US President George Bush , French President Jacques Chirac and British Prime Minister Tony Blair , that will focus on urging the Jewish state to immediately pullout from Palestinian areas.
