King meets US national security adviser

His Majesty King Abdullah met, with US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan in Washington, DC, and discussed the importance of enhancing partnership between the two countries to bolster regional and international security and stability.
 
The meeting, held on Monday and attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, covered a number of regional issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, with King Abdullah reiterating the pivotal role of the United States in pushing the peace process forward, on the basis of the two-state solution, and warning against the dangers of unilateral Israeli measures that could undermine stability.
 
Discussions also covered efforts to find political solutions to regional crises, as well as regional and international efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic approach.
 
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and Jordan’s Ambassador in Washington, DC, Dina Kawar attended the meeting.
