King meets WEF executive chairman

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday met with the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, Professor Klaus Schwab, and his wife, Hilde Schwab, to discuss ways to enhance Jordan’s cooperation and partnership with the WEF.

At the meeting, held on the sidelines of the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos, King Abdullah noted the importance of the issues being discussed at the Forum’s sessions, especially those focusing on bolstering international cooperation in economic and security-related areas.

Professor Schwab thanked His Majesty for taking part in the WEF, expressing appreciation for Jordan’s hosting of a number of the Forum’s regional meetings.

He also praised the King’s continuous efforts to seek peace and enhance security, stability, and prosperity in the region.

The Forum’s founder stressed his pride in the WEF’s partnership with Jordan, noting its key geographic location, economic advantages, and pivotal regional role.

Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan and Planning Minister Imad Fakhoury attended the meeting.
