King - Mubarak Phone Call

His Majesty King Abdullah II Saturday received a phone call from Egyptian President Muhammad Husni Mubarak, within the following up framework the two leaders are conducting to crystallize an Arab stand concerning the tense situation in the Palestinian territories and the peace proposals set currently to release the peace process anew.

The two leaders affirmed the necessity of continuing coordination between Arab countries, intensifying efforts to end the circle of violence and stop the Israeli policy of military escalation, and speeding up steps to bring the peace process back to right track.

Last Wednesday, His Majesty King Abdullah II and President Mubarak discussed in Amman the initiatives presented currently to solve the Arab Israeli conflict. They stressed the importance that these initiatives should be based on the Security council's resolutions 242 and 338 terms of reference, and should finally lead to establishment of a viable Palestinian state.
