His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received a delegation from the sovereign wealth fund of the government of Malaysia, which has $20 billion worth of assets in over 50 countries around the world.

During the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, discussions focused on Jordan’s investment climate and the incentives it offers, as well as the potential to expand the Malaysian fund’s investments in the Kingdom, especially in energy, water, ICT, and healthcare.

The fund, owned by the government of Malaysia, has four investments in the region at a value of $500 million, two of which are in Jordan.

Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan and Minister of State for Investment Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh attended the meeting.
