His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received Senator Jack Reed, Ranking Member of the US Senate Committee on Armed Services, and the accompanying delegation.

Discussions, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, covered Jordanian-US relations, particularly in military fields.

King Abdullah highlighted the historical ties of friendship and the strategic partnership between the two countries, expressing appreciation for the US Congress’ support for Jordan.

Discussions addressed regional crises and efforts to resolve them politically, as well as efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic approach.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and US Charge d’Affaires in Amman Henry Wooster attended the meeting.
