King receives team that represented Jordan at Invictus Games

His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, received on Thursday the Hashemite Committee for Disabled Soldiers’ (HCDS) team that participated in the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney, winning nine medals.

During a meeting held at Al Husseiniya Palace and attended by His Royal Highness Prince Mired bin Raad, president of HCDS, King Abdullah expressed his appreciation to all who contributed to these distinctive achievements, which have made all Jordanians proud and reflected their determination and keenness to excel.

His Majesty also commended the efforts exerted in preparing the team and all who contributed to this success, especially the HCDS.

The delegation to the Invictus Games, which was headed by Prince Mired and included 17 players, won 5 gold medals, 3 silver medals and a bronze medal.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi and Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas attended the meeting.
