King stresses importance of social and economic program implementation

His Majesty King Abdullah II Sunday stressed the importance of going ahead in implementing the social and economic transformation program, which will have positive effects on the lives of citizens around the Kingdom.

As he expressed satisfaction on what has been achieved on the social and economic levels, His Majesty urged for speeding up implementation of projects linked to the program under the light of the currently available financial potentials.

His Majesty, who chaired a meeting that included the Prime Minister, Chief of the Royal Court and ministers of national economy , planning, and industry and trade, was briefed on the developments pertaining the program.

The King was briefed also on the outcome of talks between the government and International Monetary Fund concerning adoption of a new economic reform program, which allows Jordan to negotiate Paris Club on external debts reschedule.

His Majesty expressed satisfaction to the government's steps in this regard. He reiterated his support to the government؟s tendencies and his confidence in the government's performance. His Majesty pointed out to the necessity of continuing serious work and not to pay any attention to rumours that would hinder work and accomplishment.
